| My wife Janice and I were visiting Mammoth Cave and decided we wanted
to go horseback riding. We saw a brochure for the Double J Stables and
called and made a reservation. New owners Dave and Rocky run the stables.
Dave looks like he's either ready for the rodeo or ready to brand a calf
and his easy going style immediately put Janice at ease. Rocky has all
the warmth and charm of your typical Southern Bell.
Along with our guide,Krchelle, they matched us up with a horse that matched our personalities. Janice, who has never been on a horse before was on Navajo, a gentle old boy out for a little walk in the woods, who also knew more about what he needed to do than Janice. Since I had ridden horses growing up, I was on Cocoa, a little more spirited filly who thought she should be at the front of the pack. We wandered through the fall foliage on the mostly wooded trail. If you took the reins the horses responded to your every command or if you preferred you could almost turn on the autopilot. At the end of the ride, all three of our groups wanted to capture our cowboy day and Dave and Rocky were happy to oblige. Dave positioned each of us while Rocky snapped away as we posed for the cameras. It was pleasant end to a wonderful weekend.

I just wanted to say thank you so much. It was our wedding anniversary,and we got our private ride it was wonderful.The scenery was great and the staff were so nice. We will be back. Thanks again!

Camped at Double J over Memorial Day weekend earlier this summer. It was amazing and we had a great time, will definately be back in the years to come.

We went with a group that was going there. It was out first time, but will not be the last. They really take care of u. Restrooms clean, sites clean, and they are really easy to talk to. If u haven't been there with Dave & Rocky u should give them a try out. U will be happy...

Just wanted to thank everyone involved in the ride. The people working at these stables are such good people. My car even broke down on the way and I was assisted by one of u guys. Will definitely be visiting again.

We road with our 6 year old daughter and it was her first time on a
real trail ride at Double J. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Everyone was so wonderful and friendly, the horses were wonderful, and
the owners made us feel more that welcome. Upon our return to the campground
we started recommending Double J to other campers . thank you so much
for the fantastic experience.

We camped in the hills and rode the Mammoth cave trails early in the morning listening to the birds. I was great, thanks a lot. We will be back soon!

The Memorial Day celebration was great! I enjoyed watching the line dancers while Outlaw Justice played. My family was thrilled to rIde with all the other celebrants in Mammoth Cave.
